So when I decided to make this I saw that you were to cut your squares to 2 1/2 inches. I have no idea the size of an inch so I googled it and it told me .97cm. Easy. Sorted.
So when it came time to cut the squares I read my little note as 9.7cms. So needless to say my boxes are huge! I am dealing with it! Just means I have to enlarge any templates etc that have been offered.
Then I saw a photo of the tree (as I had no idea how big to make it) it was in a from a shop called "Pottery ... something" can't remember but it makes be a great shop as I see it mentioned lots - even on Friends if my memory serves me right.
So here it is at this stage. Way bigger than what I had imagined so now I just need some backing andt to finish the ornaments and sew it all on!! But I am on track for Dec 1st!

The blown-up size is actually a fun idea :). Kids would love it. Besides, the advent calendar from Pottery Barn is probably close to the size you made yours anyway. It'll be great!
