I know, two posts in one day BUT

She's been at school for 1 month and she is in the top 4% of New Zealand new entrant children!! Go Amalie!!
She was tested on her first day of school and then again after a week!

First Holy communion

So we finally made it through all our course and Oliver made his first Holy Communion on Sunday. It was really low key and lovely. Here a just a couple of photos from the day.

I will never forget.

Did you hear me squeal with excitment!!

Never.
Never, have I found anything like this at a secondhand shop before. I always see blogs where people have amazing finds at secondhand stores and then add a little paint and make it super cute. I NEVER have such luck until a couple of weeks ago I drove past the Sallies store and nearly jammed on the brakes as I saw this sitting outside in all its yellow uglyness.
$10!!!!
So with a about 3 coats of paint, a little bit of wallpaper, a tea set and felt food this is what Amalie got for her 5th birthday. Do you love it??? I do. Maybe even more than she does!

Tea and biscuits anyone??
