A holiday, a wedding and a funeral

Well we are back. We had an amazing time in Rarotonga, we had forgotten just how peaceful it was (apart from the chickens that start waking you up from 3am onwards) Not good.
we spent the week hanging out in the sun, reading, exploring the island via scooter and catching up with friends and of course reconnecting with each other!
The wedding was beautiful. Kate looked amazing and it was such a perfect day and beautiful spot. Her hubby Ben was adorable. Cried the whole way through. The speeches were emotional but beautiful and we danced outside and sweated till we had to leave the venue at 11pm. Bearing in mind it was still 30 degrees at 11pm!!

The day of the wedding I checked my emails at the cafe. I was shocked to see a family friend of my husbands had been shot and killed outside his house. This family was a huge part of Greg's life in his teenage years. He worked on their family farm and dated the oldest daughter for several years.
Scott had risen on Thursday morning to go to work as per normal. Leaving his pregnant wife and 2 year old sun still sleeping. He got to the end of the drive way where we understand he got out of his ute and was then then shot and found later. Now if you know this family you will be as baffled as we are all about who on earth could of done something like this.
The funeral was horrific and my heart broke for his young wife, son and soon to be born baby. It seems so unfair.

The wedding is awesome but how terrible for the family that lost their daddy/husband!!!

Eve

Great pictures of that beautiful wedding. A happy time mixed with a sad time for you both. Sorry about such a horrible happening.
