Today...I am busy

Today I am editing photos that I took at a family baptism.
We had 5 children from one family at our school be baptised last week and it was beautiful!
The whole school went and we sang and sang and then watched these sweet ones be baptised. All of the older children went in the pool and then the little one didn't want to get in so we hung her over the edge!!!
i took it as an opportunity to get used to church photography. i think I struggled but pleased with the outcome. I truly need a decent flash!

I am also start to pack!! Oh yes, Rarotonga in 3 weeks today!!!

Amalie starts morning Kindy next term!! Yay for her but what will Mama do?????

And I am also tackling the mountain that is my washing pile. Serious question...Where does it all come from???

Hair colour???

So I really want to colour my hair now that I have a new hair cut but I am not sure what colour to do... brown, all brown, brown with red highlights, blonde black, blue black.
Eeeekkk I have no idea.
The photo is me - of course - but before my hair cut but shows hair colour!!!

Mama??? I wrote my name on the carpet in the lounge!!

Thankfully only with Pick-up-sticks!!

Right now I think I dislike you immensely! You are cold and at times I feel like you are closing in on me getting ready to eat me for not caring. I do care about you but your tired kitchen and ugly curtains that we cant afford to replace yet are driving me down!

Dear little old lady making dolls clothes at the craft fair
Thank you. thank you for sitting down at your sewing machine and making dolls pants, tops dresses and everything in between and then setting up your little cute stall and selling your things for $2.50 each ($1.68USD). We love you. And Amalie says thank you as now her baby Willow is warm!!

Discos and rugby

Rugby this morning! And boy was it frosty. But the sun was shining and we were thankful it was not raining. Oliver played well and managed to just scrap into the rep team for next week. He is very excited.

And Amalie had her disco for kindy last night.
We nearly didnt make it as I had forgotten all about it!
She was more interested in the glow sticks than dancing and then someone spilt lemonade on her dress so she was really ready for home then!!

Its Queen's birthday weekend here in NZ so we have Monday off which is great. Hopefully the weather stays good.

I am trying to do a price and package sheet up for those who are wanting me to take their photos. It is very hard. I dont know what they should get for their money and really I would almost do it for free just for the experience!!!

Tuesdays around the world - Joe Dirt

So Saturday, after Oliver's rugby and when Greg had just left for his rugby I poured myself a coffee and went down to the bedroom to ring my sister. They kids were happily playing in the lounge. i started chatting and sipping my coffee when after about 3-5 mins Oliver came down and said "Amalie is cutting her hair" Now he does have a tendency to over react but then he said "With real scissors"
I hung up phone and went to the lounge to see Amalie perched on the stool holding scissors and a clump of hair (a small clump) I yelled for her to get in her room and took said little bit of hair and put it on the window sill to show Daddy later.
i went into her room to find her on her couch and when I went over I could see the actual result of the hair cut lots of hair still held in the ponytail.
I started to cry - nope I started to sob. Like head in hands sobbing. I was devastated!!
Amalie then cried and pleaded for me to put it back but of course I couldn't.
So this pic is what I had to work with this morning!!
Yes she looks like Joe Dirt!!

Yes or No

I have been asked to do a wedding in November 2010. I wanted to scream NO!!! But then again I I want to do it too. Can I really just pick and chose which ones I want to do? Oh where are all the cute happy children that want their photos taken? Go away brides!!!!
