So i started my month long course this week with Faith.
It all about
- Aperture
- ISO
- White Balance
- Shutter speed
So I get all of those. I know how they all work. I can do each one really well BUT I can't do them together. I can do ISO,WB and Aperture. Fine. No problem but try sorting the shutter speed - no way. Then I can do Shutter, ISO and WB - nope can't do the aperture.
So result = I can't shoot in Full Manual mode. There I said it.
*stands up in front of you all* Hi, My names Angela (Hi, Angela) I can't shoot in full Manual mode. (was surposed to sound like AA or something!!)
So my plan for this course is to get them working together!
Posted are some of my assignment photos. All shot in AV.
On a side note: My American friends, what is pound cake? I saw it listed in a recipe and I have no idea what it is? :)

Angela! You are doing great. Me either. Full manual freaks me out. It does feel like a huge confession, doesn't it! : )
Pound cake is vanilla cake that used to have a pound of butter a pound of sugar and a pound of flour. Of course now it has lots of different measurements and variations but it always kept that name. : )
Thanks! Wow a pound of butter??? Crazy. Right off to find where I saved that recipe! :)
angela you doing the class just fine it will all come together soon. Just remember set ISO first depending on the light second - set av if your shooting something that isn't moving fast or set shutter if you photographing something that is moving like kids at 1/250 or faster third set the left over setting to get meter to zero. WB if you shoot RAW leave it a auto or set it to match your like, cloudy, sun, overcast etc.
oh and pound cake is usually served with sliced berries and whipped cream or pudding
Hey thanks Barb - that actually made sense!!!
