Today I learned....
well I had an entire blog post worked out.... I couldn't live with out my 3 "c's"
- Coffee
- Coke
- Chocolate
- coffee - well anytime but mainly 9am
- coke - 3pm
- chocolate after 7pm
my cousin passed away in the weekend. I did not know him well so my grief is different but I feel for any parent having to bury their son, a wife burying her husband and small children burying their daddy. My heart breaks.
so then my pity party started. Yes because its all about me!
I started to think about this whole photography thing. I feel any stay at home mum who has a camera is trying to make it out there I don't think I have the drive to do it! I LOVE doing it but I don't have the skill to get out there at yell PICK ME!!!! i love taking the pics, even making my own logo!! but the selling of me is hard.
so what to do...I don't know.
So today I learned that I am not cut out to be in this photography world.

I love taking pictures, and have learned so much just from other peoples blogs. But, I know I have room for TONS of improvement. Thank goodness for editing!
Don't give up! Your photos are amazing!!! A friend of mine used to wonder how she could sell her passion for photography too. So, she volunteered to be the photographer for a friend's baby's Christening. The photos were lovely and once all the guests saw them (over time and they saw the album)then the requests came in and she started to charge money. She has made enough money now just to do some jobs on the side and focus on taking artistic shots of whatever she likes. I know some people are lucky but don't give up on your dream...

Angela, you know what, just keep taking pictures and LOVING it! You are right. There are a million moms out there with a dslr. And they might get business even though they aren't better than you. Who cares? If you keep taking pictures and you are happy good things are bound to happen. Great things! : ) Now go and have some coffee at once!

I think you should stick with photography if you truly love it, and it sounds to me as though you do. I think some chocolate is in order. It's such a delicious pick-me-up.

Love your 3 c's...and I'm so sorry to hear about your cousin. Death has a way of affecting us all, making us stop and take stock of our lives...whether we 'knew' the person or not. I'm sorry for your family's loss.
Photography shouldn't be about 'trying to make it'; ...use it, instead, as a way to be creative, to express yourself, to make something beautiful, and to carve a little time in the day for just yourself. Your photographs are beautiful, and if you love taking pics then you should continue to do so!

Your photography is amazing.
Don't worry about selling yourself. Do what you love, put the offer "out there" and let whatever may come, come. Just have joy in your journey and do it for the love of the thing...which, by the way, is a "thing" you are CLEARLY very good at! ;)
