I ♥ faces Flowers

Over at I ♥ faces their theme is Flowers (and faces of course!)

Here is Amalie and frangipani , finally, in Rarotonga. She was around 5 months and loved being in the blue warm water!! We had just adopted her and although New Zealand courts denied us the first time to go on holiday they agreed the second time and we were able to go away as a family!
I can't believe how bad her eye looks here. When she was 3-9 months was when it was at its worse!! I remember and older Rarotonga lady saying to me "We will get some Cook Island medicine on that eye!" Nothing was going to help it but I just smiled sweetly at her!!

Dear SO and So....

Dear So and So...

Not sure how I came across this but it suits me AWESOME to do this today.

Dear Month of May
Your cold and wet. I dont enjoy standing in the rain to watch rugby so if you could just hold of the rain until after the game I would really appreciate.
Angela

Dear Oliver
Honey, I did not need to know that your glow stick was still glowing at 6.30am this morning. If you come into my room and my eyes are closed that means I am asleep...tiptoe quietly out and come back at 7am!
Mummy

Dear Amalie
I know having a runny nose is horrible (remember Mummy was sick last weekend) but please try to keep blowing your nose so that I dont see snot all over your face.
Mummy

Dear Teachers at our school
To sneak out of the school disco just as it finished was plain rude. You left only a handful of parents to tidy up.
Angela

Dear Greg
Please tidy up after yourself.
Your loving wife

Dear Angela
If you want to look super hot in Rarotonga then get exercising!
Angela

Dear Gran
Why did I not ask you to teach me to crochet before you were gone.
I miss you
Angela

Just came in to add this one...

Dear God,
When my Dad gets to heaven can you make sure he gets a good neck!! He has suffered long enough with that broke-as neck that he needs a new one.
Angela
PS but please dont take him for ages because my life wouldnt be the same with out him

I'm a little bit crafty at times!!

I saw these on another blog and just had to give them ago!! So quick and easy. I think my father in law will be getting them for his birthday!! (Not these ones...some other ones that i will have to make)
Not sure how long they will last but at 20cents for the spoon from the Secondhand store it doesn't really matter does it!

They are devasted...I am devasted and I hardly know them

So Jay-Jay and Dom who host the morning madhouse radio show are very open people. I have "known" Dom since I was a teenager and have followed the two of them for years.
they recently came into infertility troubles and they have been kind enough and open enough to share their story through JayJays blog.
http://jjdom.wordpress.com/

I cried as I read it. JayJay is not pregnant. they were going through IVF and I have tried not to stalk them (!) but cant help to check daily for updates.
I was gutted. I felt like I was kicked in the guts and its not even me!! These poor people. They weren't on air yesterday or today.
JayJay and Dom...I am so sorry.... :(

What's your scent

Mine is Eternity.....

I love it!

I first wore it on our wedding day.

When ever I spray it, it reminds me of that day...even now...nearly 13 years later.

Sometimes I just take the lid of and smell for that mushy feeling I get!

ever wondered what kind of scent ladies from around the world use??? Pop on over to

and have a look at what others like to smell like!!

I ♥ faces Celebrating Mum

I heart faces are Celebrating Mums!!

The first time I laid eyes on our daughter. Perfect. After months of waiting, someone had chosen us to be her parents. We are forever thankful for our 2 birth mothers.
WE CELEBRATE THEM!!!

By far, these photos were all pretty terrible - blurry, bad patterned background - but there is just something about them that feels warm and mushy!

Maybe someday
she'll help millions of people
all over the world
or maybe she will travel
and send emails from Africa
or call me from Rome
Someday she'll be a strong,
confident woman
but I will always remember
the first time I held her
in my arms.....

"today" - we enjoyed the leaves

Leaves and plenty of them are surrounding us at the moment.
I love Autumn - all the amazing colours!!
We walked to the end of the road and laid down!! we got plenty of looks from people with Mummy either Bum up or hoovering over my poor children laying in crunchy cold leaves!!
Its a very chilly morning but going to be a beautiful day - blue skies as far as the eye can see.

Why not take your eyes over to http://communalglobal.blogspot.com/ and check out what ohters are doing around the world today

I've done it again!! changed my layout

I wasn't happy with all the 100 others I tried. Too over the top - some would cut the photo in half etc so I am sticking with this one - hopefully!!

And a photo of Amalie. I swear she only likes to help do the baking so she can lick the egg beaters!!

I used to be able to enlarge my photos. Now when I do it the whole photo disappears. The HTML is there the the photo does not show up. Weird???? Any help would be appreciate as they are much better bigger.

"Today" - what makes me relax

Reading...
Well reading and coffee but wasn't sure how to combine the two things for a photo apart from scattering coffee beans and then I thought that just makes a mess!!
I love to read and often when my husband gets home from school I say "I'm just off to read for a bit" and then easily an hour is gone is some far off world in my book!
See what helps everyone else relax throughout the world!
