Yesterday was ANZAC day. We will rememeber them.

The day for me started at 4.50am as I was so sure my alarm clock wouldnt go off that I kept waking and checking! i woke Oliver at an hour later and we got dressed and drove to meet Nana and Poppa (my Mum and Dad).
It was the first time Dad had worn his fathers medal. Gran dad died in 1969. Dad was so proud. a day he had waited for for years (long story behind it all!)
we walked into town as their were cars everywhere. Oliver had been before 2-3 times but it was my nieces first time. She was excited and giggly!
The formalities were great and a fly over by 3 planes was awesome.
My Brother in law Heath was in the Parade - he is RNZAF.
We went for a cuppa after wards and then I went home and came back to pick Oliver up later....to very sad news.
A RNZAF helicopter had gone down while heading to a parade in Wellington. Three were dead and 1 injured. I could see on Heaths face he was shaken. They were from 3 squadron which is where he works. Imagine going to work on Monday knowing 3 members of your staff had been killed and 1 seriously injured. I feel for them to day.
A terrible tragedy.

Well made as in I threaded elastic through an old net curtain and sewed on some circles BUT the smile from Amalie's face was fabulous!!!

Was she this tired????

My Mum....was she this tried after a day looking after us three girls. At the end of the day I am knackered and I look around and still feel there is heaps to do!

Did she bath us and then we come back to life again and chase each other around the house while she was doing the dishes?


Was she hanging out for 7pm to put everyone to bed?


She never showed it if she was.

House always tidy and clean.

Rarotonga is coming around so quickly!!

I so cant wait fro 6th July 2010 when me and my husband fly up up and away to the Cook Islands for our dear friends wedding....but
I am feeling a tad bad for leaving the children at home!! I know they will be more than well loved and Mummy REALLY does need this break away but I still feel bad.
Oliver keeps suggesting places to go to he says "You should go to Fruits of Rarotonga like when we all went as a family" HELLO way to rub it in!!!

Mrs Butterfly again!

Butterfly has appeared!

So after Milly passed away I found a swan plant on sale with the biggest caterpillar on it and bought it home for the children! (well me really)
Mr Caterpillar ate and ate and soon went into his cocoon.
And then today....Mrs Beautiful Butterfly appeared (I know sex change in the cocoon!)

Women in Business

So my lovely sister in law, Maree, is going to be in the "woman in business" thingy in the paper and she asked me to do her photo. It was a super quick shoot - like 10 mins - and this is the result.
We wanted it to be quite natural looking, showing her product and business logo. I love the photo and she does too.
Then we went and had a yummy lunch!! Oh its nice to feel normal!!!
